Who we are…

 

Del Sol Church is a gathering of broken people who desire to give faith a chance to show us just how much God's great story of grace can transform our lives and communities.

 What we do…

 

Del Sol Church believes we have been called to work beside God in mending what is broken in this world. While we do so imperfectly, we seek to love all our neighbors, to care for creation, and to work for justice, reconciliation, and peace.

 What we believe…

 

God

We believe in one God who manifests Himself in three persons, God the Father, Jesus, His one and only Son and the Holy Spirit who now lives within us. 

 

Jesus

Is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin and come to be God with us to reveal to us who God is and to give His life on the cross so that we might have life. 

 

Holy Spirit

Is the Comforter who now lives within all and gifts all who place their faith in Jesus.

 

The Bible

Is the God breathed word of God to us to show us how to live and become like Jesus.  It was written by broken people, but inspired by a perfect God.  It’s complex and difficult to understand, but we believe as we learn to live it and we can change our lives and change the world! 

 

Sin

We are all broken and fallen.  We all mess up and don’t even live up to our own standard, much less God’s. 

 

Salvation

A church-y word that basically means you know you are broken, you admit it, and seek to become a follower of Jesus through baptism and a commitment to follow His teachings. 

 

Baptism

What you do after you choose to become a follower of Jesus.  It’s a beautiful symbol of dying to your self (going under the water) and then coming alive to Jesus and His ways (rising out of the water). 

 

Humanity

We believe God values and loves EVERYONE and we choose to be like Him and seek to love and value EVERYONE no matter their race, gender, political affiliation, sexual orientation, social status, etc. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:28

Heaven

Is the presence of God.  One day everyone will gather at the throne to worship the triune God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. 

  

Hell

Is being absent from God.  God does not desire to “send” people to Hell, but He will not force Himself on us.  We can “have it our way” and live eternity apart from His if we choose. 

 

Church

All who commit to follow in the ways of Jesus are collectively His body and bride the Church.  We seek to live in community loving each other and loving the world.  Del Sol Church is a small part of the larger Church God is creating. 


Spiritual Gifts

We believe that God calls and gifts leaders within the church, He decides who gets what gifts and that this is not limited by gender, age, ethnicity, economic status, or any other human distinction.
